YOGA FOR LEGS AND BUM

This yoga flow is built around low crescent lunge or sometimes called low runners’s lunge. This is a short and sweet yoga sequence because I believe it is better to do a little yoga more often than a lot of yoga every once and a while. It is of great benefit for athletes or anyone who has tight quads and hamstrings as well as those seeking a solution to lumpy bumpy hamstrings and bum. The many benefits include opening the hips and hip flexors as well as the shoulders and chest. It is also great to improve posture, strengthen knees, glutes and increase flexibility in the lower body especially. the quads and hamstrings. It also stimulates the thyroid.

The importance of yoga to any healthy lifestyle are well documented. Formally thought of as only some esoteric eastern woo woo thing it is now embraced by science for its vast benefits. From Leonardo Da Vinci to sages through out history including the Hebrews and Christians the symbols of sacred geometry are know through out humankind and nature. Just look at the pattern in a red cabbage center and you will notice the star of David, or in the human ear you can see the golden ratio. By doing yoga and putting the body in geometrical postures we open the body and create space. Where there is space there is breath and where there is breath there is life.

We will be adding or building upon the yogi squat sequence and the inner thigh flow. Click the links below for the sequences. It is very important to do counter poses for these intense postures. We will be doing both, spending time in the poses and countering with additional postures.
